So, I have thrown my back out 2x in the past 3 weeks. This does seem to be an inopportune time to decide that I would like to take dance lessons.

And not just any dance, but swing dance! After looking through the different types available, I have landed on the one I like particularly well.

In case you hadn't heard, Piet and I are looking to buy a small ranch N/NW of our current location. Of course, that means that to get the acreage that we want there will most like be no home on it.

While this presents a logistical challenge, it certainly stirs my love for architecture and all the possibilities.

I love, love, love the small house. Well designed spaces that combine beauty and functionality. Of course you wouldn't know it from the monstrosity we live in or our 'Master Planned Community' of cookie cutter homes. So when I saw an episode on the Discovery Channel about Japanese architecture and the EDDI House, I was in love.
